When the World Stood Still

‘‘When the World Stood Still’ is a series about my experience of life during the COVID-19 pandemic. There are many others like it, but this one is mine.

I felt an urge to document my experience of the Pandemic as an ordinary Londoner. I made a point of carrying my camera with me whenever I could, no matter how humble the walk to the supermarket or for exercise.

I wanted to capture the eerie silence, the masked masses, the diverse reactions to the Pandemic, our new ways of connecting with others, and the joy of reuniting with loved ones.

When these days pass, we will look back on the way we lived, how we felt, and how the world stood still.
