Hello, World

In 2021, we emerged from isolation.

Having spent the better part of a year mostly alone indoors, I wanted a challenge. What better way to do that—I thought—than to photograph complete strangers.

Wielding my trusty Hasselblad 500C/M, I told myself that I would shoot one roll of film. 12 images. That would be all.

It was a nerve wracking experience, but I got there. Over the next few months, I repeated the process. Soon, I hit my initial goal of photographing 100 people. I kept going, and eventually, I made over 300 portraits.

Here are some of my favourites.
